Core Concepts

What is the NSD™ Process?

The NSD™ (Nano-Separation Dynamics) process is a patented hydrometallurgical method developed by Fodere Critical Minerals. Unlike pyrometallurgy (smelting), it uses low-temperature chemical activation to break molecular bonds in complex ores, allowing for the concurrent extraction of Titanium, Vanadium, and Iron with near-zero waste.

Why Titanium Dioxide (TiO2)?

Titanium Dioxide is a critical industrial mineral primarily used as a pigment in paints, plastics, and paper due to its high refractive index. Fodere produces high-purity (>99%) TiO2 directly from waste materials, securing a sustainable supply chain for this essential commodity.

The Role of Vanadium

Vanadium Pentoxide (V2O5) is key to green energy storage, specifically in Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRFBs). Our process recovers Vanadium as a high-value co-product, directly supporting the global transition to renewable energy storage grids.

Zero Waste Commitment

Our "Zero Waste" standard means that after extracting valuable metals, the remaining material is chemically inert and suitable for use in the construction industry as aggregate or cement additive, ensuring no tailings dams are required.
